At this price point if should be included • It would have been nice if it had a designated laptop-only section that you can lay flat on the X-ray belt • The included hip belt is over kill. This uses the same hip belt as the larger Tortuga Men's Setout 35L and 45L bags. They really need to design a hip belt that is proportionately sized for this bag. Still, there are only two or three other companies that make a bag that fits ALL these requirements

So without a case, this pocket will hold a 15” laptop and with a case, a 13” laptop should fit just fine.

Plus, the Osprey is unable to stand upright on its own (due to not having a flat bottom) and the Tortuga can. The Outbreaker is another option, but seems even more squared off and rollerbag on your back looking. * Aer Travel Pack 2 33L - Tied Second choice, seems to suffer from the same problem as the Tortuga Setout in terms of putting all the capacity into the center instead of the "EDC" compartments.

\- The accessory straps were a hassle to take off the bag, especially the lower one on where it attaches to the back of the bag by the hip belt. Took me a solid 8 minutes just to unhook this thing, because the attachment point on the back of the bag is much tighter than the one on the front. \- Speaking of the hip belt, I don't really see it as being very usable for distributing weight.

* The harness and backpack straps are brilliant. The padding on the back allows for plenty of air to pass through while supporting the lower back and base of neck. The straps are plush and breathable thanks to the perforations found throughout. Whether hiking or urban exploring, the back harness was exceptional

At the time of this review, we’ve been testing the Tortuga Setout Divide for about two solid weeks, taking it on a few trips between Minneapolis and Detroit. We’ve tested the original Setout for about three months (we really wanted to put that one through the ringer!) and we feel like the Setout Divide will basically follow the same path. .
