 Our big issue with this, as you can see up here they're attached really close together and we've tried this on ourselves and a couple other people on the team and it kind of pinches the top of your shoulders around your neck area. You can kind of feel you can feel those straps digging in. Some of course that your mileage may vary based on your body type and what's comfortable to you. It's something that we've noticed on this bag, especially when we have it like cinched up nice and tight

 It's been fine if we just have you know, our work stuff and our laptop and things like that in here. Not a big deal, but once you start putting some weight in there, you might want a little more so we'll flip this thing over. We'll get into some pockets here. First off, you've got water bottle pockets on the side

 you know it's been a little tight. It always works. Um, just something to note there. And the same with our laptop

 I mean since everything has its own dimension, you can kind of see when you pull it out, it's quite wide and it's not a huge issue, it just it feels a little bulky on the back. but it doesn't mean that we can fit plenty and again, if we had a little bit beefier harness system it'd probably be less of an issue. Moving on, we've got the laptop compartment here. Um, as you can see, there's there's a lap dedicated laptop sleeve and then another just like loose liner sleeve on the front of this compartment

Fjallraven Raven 28L Backpack Review (2 Weeks of Use)

 There'S a nice fleece lining to provide some protection against scratching and then a really nice thing about this POC is that it's actually elevated off the bottom of the ground. So it offers that extra bit of protection and actually reminds me a lot of the laptop pocket that we saw in the herschel pop quiz. So that's been one of my favorites so far, and so this is meant to hold up to a 15 inch laptop. Currently, what I have as my 13 inch macbook pro but, as you can see, there's plenty of left over space for a taller device

 What I like to carry for my day today, but after trying the two versions out for my size, I did feel that the 20 liter looked a little bit small, even though it was able to hold a nice amount of stuff. I just preferred how they larger 28 litre size fit with my body type. In my height continuing along the outside. I was very happy to see that the bag has two extra and a water bottle compartments and they have a pretty decent amount of space

 So all the way up, the left - you have one slot to put something like a pen or a stylus, which is what I currently have here. Next, to that, there's two slightly larger slip: pockets that are pretty slim, so they're not gon na, be able to hold anything too bulky currently in this first one. What I have is just my Apple Magic Mouse and then next to that I just have a USB C dongle for my touch bar MacBook Pro, and then you do have some additional space here towards the bottom, where you could toss in something like a book or A small jacket - I really haven't put anything here because there's so much space in the rest of the bag, but still nice to have that extra bit of flexibility on the flap. You have two additional meshes if ur compartments with a nice amount of volume, starting with the bottom one

When you open this compartment, you’ll notice two mesh pockets on the front flap. The mesh offers nice visibility into the pocket so we always know what we’re grabbing when we open it up. During testing, we’ve found that the bottom pocket is a great size for a laptop charger, while the smaller pocket at the top works well for loose cords and other miscellaneous tech gear. We’re big pouch fans over here, and this is all stuff we would usually keep inside of one

On to the main compartment. It opens up horseshoe-style and offers plenty of unrestricted access inside. There’s not much in terms of the organization in here, other than the large zippered pocket on the front flap. The shoulder straps have a decent level of padding and some mesh lining for added breathability. They also have some curve to them, which we like, as this helps them fit nicely over our shoulders, but we’ve found that you can feel them digging into your neck when you’ve got the bag on—especially when it’s fully packed. This is likely due to how close together the straps are anchored on the bag, though it also depends on your body type. We’ve tested on several team members and have found it’s most noticeable when you have the bag cinched higher up

It's look is plain which is what I wanted in an everyday carrier to work and back.  I didn't need all the loops and straps and hip belts most day packs have and didn't like that kind of look either.  It offers the right amount of compartments for me: 1-laptop & iPad, 2-main compartment - very roomy, 3- small access, 4-smaller quick access, 5-last minute compartment that can fit glasses+and several other smaller items.  inside has pen and pad compartments and separate zippered interior meshed compartments

...this is my 1st commuter backpack and I miss my easy access (velcro'd pouch) while on the subway to quickly grab my iPad for reading a book while standing on a packed subway car

 That's not a big deal, but the foam pad is somewhat oblong and makes it a little tough to zip up the laptop pocket.

 One important thing is the straps. They haven't been worn out, they look like brand-new and I've been sweating in this one. Hello Everyone I Want to make a follow-up video from three years ago where I did a review on this backpack the field revin 28 litres and I just want to show you how its held up after three years. As you can see, the zippers are all fine. there's no damage to it at all. The quality is impeccable

 I've been running with it and the washing, you know, take away the salty stains. the straps are almost as brand-new What's good about this bag is when you fill it up a lot, it's just the right size and it's very comfortable so you don't need a chest strap you can do without it which is very good when you're mixing kind of urban environment with hiking environments and so on. And these side pockets are really good and if you get some crumbs or something in there, you can just take the vacuum cleaner and suck it up. All right

 and I'll show you why. Let's look at the compartment. A 17 inch laptop fits without the problem, but that's also the maximum. so if you have anything below 17 inch you'll make it

Very durable with lots of convenient pouches and pockets for storage. My main complaint is it isn't quite wide enough to accommodate larger format laptops. I have a full size laptop with extended battery, and I can fit it in the bag, but not in the section of the bag designed for it. 2 inches wider and it would be perfect

We all love Fjallraven's Kanken backpack but the brand's Raven 28 is my go-to for travel — it carries far more and has a better design

The Photography Bundle includes the PRVKE Pack, an Original Camera cube, Rainfly, Waist Belt, and a pair of Accessory Straps. We’ve taken our award-winning PRVKE line and made improvements to features and comfort. We started by updating the back panel and shoulder straps. Pretty much, I'm trying to pack for RTW travel that would include both hiking, remotely working with laptop, and fitting in a carry-on; and I don't know how to look for advice from people that have done the same.

<p>EDIT: I should have added a few major details:</p>

<li>my these 40+10L still don&#39;t account for  outside stretchy pockets , where I coul stuff things outside the airport as well. One big pocket could certainly fit a tent, a puffy jacket and a medkit</li>
<li>my tent is frameless, uses 1 trekking pole. I do expect this to be the largest butt-hurt and will either send that pole + stakes separately or will get new ones. Either way, I expect to move on land much more than by plane.</li>

I recently gave the Wandrd Prvke a trail run because I had heard good things, I hated it. My main turnoff of the Prvke is the roll top. I just can't do it. The comfort just isn't it either

The lower half of the shoulder straps is dedicated to rails for the sliding sternum strap—our favorite kind because of how granular the adjustment is. It’s a shame our sample didn’t come with one, though the 21-liter daypack volume of this version doesn’t necessitate one. There are also loops for attaching a waist strap, but again, they’re really not a must-have at this capacity. Despite the difference in sizing, it’s nice to know that the larger cube can get the job done if you prefer the Deep but have the 21L backpack
