 Although it has a laptop sleeve in the main compartment, it's unpadded so you may want to put the laptop into a padded case before using it with this pack. This is my first Chrome Industries bag. I just recently began to commute on my bicycle on a regular basis and I needed a backpack that was weatherproof, sturdy, and large capacity. This backpack fulfills all those needs. It's basically a large waterproof "dump" style backpack- perfect for my groceries! And the fact that's it's a roll top means that it can hold substantially more when left unrolled

 Let'S go take a dive inside the pack itself, opening the pack, you have a a small roll over followed by a giant clasp and the clasp has the chrome logo engraved into it and inside you're going to feel the very same material. That'S in all of their other messenger bags, and that's that military-grade truck tarpaulin. This is a rubbery surface and it's very durable. It doesn't have any seams on the material whatsoever inside the bag itself are two compartments

 The straps are heavy-duty cordura and you have plenty of loops and a ring here. For your keys, you have the daisy chain drop loops, you can loop through any kind of device or secondary pack, or even a phone pack, like chrome, makes it's phone pouch along the side here very very easily and very nicely. You'Ll see that the straps themselves are inserted, ev foam in here to make them very comfortable to ride with and, of course, a loop very popular for hanging on a coat hanger or any type of hook on the wall on the bottom or the base which gets The most abuse on most backpacks - you again have this military or truck tarpaulin down here, and you have that in black chrome, does a unique color scheme for each of the years. Chrome Industries Barrage Cargo Bag Highlights Review

I wanted to talk about my favorite backpack. This is the chrome industries, barrage, cargo backpack. It is a 22 liter backpack that has a roll-top enclosure with a buckle on top a waterproof liner with pocket for folders or laptops in the inside this netting on the outside, which is adjustable in clippable. I was like you got, ta fix it, keeping you need to it

 So what I did was, I took these straps and I laced them through the frame of my connects bicycle and I put the bike here with like the top tube and the down tube and the wheels were like here and here and I strapped it onto my Bag using these buckles, which added extra stability, I tie it up my arms use it often or when I'm not using it. This buckle that goes across your chest provides extra stability. So when I had that thing on my back, it was heavy yes, but I was able to climb onto another bike with a bike home on the back of this and bike home, so that I didn't have to try and fix my flat tire with no tools Available to me, one of the things that I had said when I had done that was that this holds, I will be a chrome user forever tonight. This bag is what that was the first of many paces that I put it through and it has shine beautifully

 I Bike to work pretty much year-round winter, spring, fall, summer, been through ton of rain downpours, snow, everything inside always spending like completely dry. It's this really nice really thick durable outer material. Then it's all a roll-top so it like they're really roll tops. like really kind of the main way to help

 It's got a really nice like padded padded back there. pretty comfortable nice padding straps. I've had it about a year, use it pretty much everyday straps and holding up pretty good. heading has gone down a little bit but still still fine

 when it comes to performance, This particular backpack comes with two interior compartments which allow the separation of dry and wet items. The interior pocket holds up to a 15 inch laptop, the slip inside pocket fits a water bottle, and it also packs an adjustable external five-point cargo net system for transporting helmets, shoes, or wet race gear. The Eva foam back panel offers a better fit and comfortable wear when compared to some other materials on other backpacks. In addition, it's important to mention that this backpack is waterproof, which means that it'll be used in various weather conditions without a problem

Where is the zipper when bag is unfolded to put wet clothes/tools in? That little zipper pouch on the back is weak and does me know good for my riding.

Where is the Velcro on the straps for phone holsters, etc? Going to stitched loops is weak.

Where are the metal buckles on bottom of straps? The plastic is cheap and with my riding through all 4 seasons, I know this will snap in no time.

If I still worked at a bike shop, I wouldn’t be recommending these to every day commuters like myself because the quality has been compromised.

This pack balances comfort with an emphasis on lightweight design in a way that is unparalleled. The feature set is thoughtful and useful but not overkill. It provides plenty of external-carry options without feeling weighed down by superfluous bells and whistles. The Mariposa had our favorite stretchy back mesh pocket, which was large enough to store extra layers, snacks, and other items we wanted to quickly access. It fits a bear canister and can carry a heavy load but can also be compressed to comfortably carry a smaller load. The fabrics used in its design are durable and lightweight; miles of bushwacking and talus-crossing hardly left a scratch. 
Marketed as a 60-liter pack, the Mariposa can carry up to 64 liters when stuffed to the brim. For some, this may feel like too much room for an ultralight pack, as the more room you have, the more you may end up filling with unnecessary gear. It isn't the lightest in our review, though its 2.5-pound total weight and 14g/L weight-to-volume ratio are impressive. Plus, its slightly heavier weight added a level of comfort that was hard to beat.

It helps me stand up straighter when I'm hiking and It also gives me some breathability as you can see a lot of my back is exposed You know can slip my hand through how that really hurt But yeah That's just how I like to wear the pack everything's just tight enough to where the pack doesn't bounce around and move around too much But you know super comfortable pack worn it for hours and hours on end But yeah another advantage to having super loose straps is When my shoulders get tired and start hurting I can just slip my arms in Keep my hands like this takes the weight off my shoulders. Let's gives my arms a rest That magnetic Clip makes it super easy and convenient, you know, if I need water just keeps the tube right here and That water bottle holder also makes it easier to get water versus trying to like have a Try and reach back here that just that hurts a lot So I just keep this right here But yeah, that's that's me with the bag That's that's me with the pack again

So Let's head back inside because it's freezing out, you know, give you my thoughts and opinions on it So I've owned this pack for a year and a half Probably got anywhere from a couple to a few hundred miles into it Mostly day hikes to get a good workout in but also lots of overnight trips and weekend trips as well It's a great pack very comfortable Has never caused me any pain There's lots of space inside and I really like all the pockets For quick and easy access and allowing me to organize everything how I want if the dog does go with me on a trip There's still plenty of room left over which makes it easier to add all of his stuff as well Packs got no signs of wear and tear like none Maybe few dirt stains and the occasional loose thread, but that's easily fixed with a lighter The shoulder straps and hip belt cushioning still like new no issues there The only gripe I could think of is that none of the pack material is waterproof, but very few packs have that feature I would definitely buy this pack again
