 Now the real money maker pocket, this is a really important pocket and it's TSA approved, which is fantastic. So you're probably already stoked and sold in the backpack, but just to assure you that it is business worthy, school worthy, creativity worthy, there you go, TSA approved. It will hold a 15 inch laptop, I currently have my 13 inch MacBook Pro with the nice beefy case, we got a review on that as well, and then a nice little tablet pocket I have right there with today's notice from my clients. So yeah, fully travel compatible right there, two way zippers again on that pocket

 So if you're traveling, it's a great travel backpack, carries really really well and you saw me take out, this is an average day's worth of stuff for me, but I still have plenty, I probably had 10 to 15 more liters of room and space I could have used in there. Again there's a carabiner in the mesh pocket right there, very usable. Now the real money maker pocket, this is a really important pocket and it's TSA approved, which is fantastic. Patagonia Black Hole 32L Pack Review - 100% Recycled Do-it-all Pack

One of the main differences between the 25L and 32L is that the 32L version has a separate laptop compartment. It's "TSA-approved" which means you can unzip it all the way to the bottom and lay the compartment out flat from the rest of the backpack. Since I use the backpack for EDC i usually only zip it open on the side of the backpack and access my laptop that way. But I guess it's nice to have the option of opening it all the way when traveling eventually opens up again

TL;DR: Bought the 25L, returned it and bought the 32L. Much happier with the 32L. 32L is bigger and has a more accessible main compartment, a separate laptop compartment, **a flatter bottom which allows it to stand up on its own** (compared to the 25L which does not stand on its own for some dumb reason) and an additional row of daisy-chained webbing. If you're okay with the size of the 32L, definitely go with it over the 25L!

The optimal size for you will ultimately depend on how tall you are (and what you need it for). I'm a reasonably tall dude, coming in at about 6'1, and I found the 25L to be a little too small. The "height" of the bag is perfect, but it's very lacking depth-wise. It's also not very wide, which gives it a bit of an awkward shape when it's worn

You'll get a sternum strap it does not include a waist strap and then of course on the backpack straps some connection points for items again if necessary and then you will get some nice padding on the back of this bag. This bag does load from the top and one thing I want to mention and we'll look at this a little closer here shortly

 that's gonna give you some nice space.  Maybe it's a problem, who knows, but for me, a bag is really important. I've gotta carry a lot of my stuff with it, so you know I've got different ones for hiking, carrying my camera gear, waterproof stuff. So if I'm going out on diving trips, etc. so I've got waterproof bags, you know I've got day packs you've got my big belly cases for if I'm going on a big trip, duffel bags if you're going on small trips

 Another great feature of this backpack is its laptop compartment, so if you see here, it lays out completely flat and it's got really good padding on the outside. so this is the back and it's got really good padding there. Also, you've got a good deep pocket there which can fit the new 16 inch Macbook pro and you've got a tablet sleeve here. And what's great about this is when I haven't been using this as a laptop sleeve, I have put a water bladder in here and you've got a place for this spout to come out

PATAGONIA BLACK HOLE PACK 32L REVIEW, HOW MUCH CAN IT FIT?

 There'S two rows of webbing that are gon na, be great for attaching things with carabiners. So I've used this to hang my Beats Studio wireless headphones when they don't fit inside of the bag. This might also be a good spot to attach an extra pair of shoes so really like the additional versatility that this webbing adds. Moving on of the straps on the back paneling so far, the bag has been pretty comfortable to wear the straps offer a nice amount of padding, they're fairly thick and they're soft on the inside

 They don't have much of a messy material to help prevent moisture from building up, so that would have been a nice addition, but they do have a nice width and I really like the contoured shape for the straps. They really fit my shoulders well. In addition, the straps have an adjustable and removable sternum strap to help distribute the weight when you have a heavier load and although I haven't had any issues yet, this does feel like the type of system where it would be fairly easy for the sternum strap to Fall off and get lost so just something to keep in mind, but, as I mentioned, I haven't had any issues yet moving out on the back pedaling. This has been pretty comfortable as well

 It would have been nice to maybe have a slit pocket or two in here, but I've just been really impressed with how much space this compartment offers, even when the bag is pretty full and it's just nice to have an area where you can quickly toss. In some bulkier items, or even your wallet and phone, while you're going through TSA at the top, there is another simple but very spacious, quick access compartment. This has a nice wide opening. That'S gon na make this great for holding bulkier accessories and to be able to easily see everything that's in the compartment at once, and so currently, what I have in here is my Ray Ban sunglasses with their case, and then I also have my GoPro Hero 3 Plus and then I also have my in case accessory pouch, which is the Dobb kit that I typically use when I'm trying to save a little bit of space
