The stuff sack that comes with the sleeping bag (I have the regular size) is pretty useless when needing to save space for backpacking. It creates kind of a sphere and doesn't compress the sleeping bag as much as it can be compressed. With the regular stuff sack, coldest weather configuration, it will not fit into the lower department of my 70L Deuter backpack, even though there is ample space in there for a sleeping bag and a pad. maybe I am just too dang big (fat) for this pack. This review is just based on comfort and not function as I will never be able to tolerate usinging it to test its actual functionality because it is about as comfortable as one might imagine a bear trap, clamped at the hips, would be. I recently got this bag for a weekend backpacking trip in the NC mountains. Temperature got down to about 15 degrees F and I was nice and warm with the 5 degree set up. I am a hot sleeper so I was worried than the 5 degree would be too much but it was fine and I did not sweat. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the zippers get stuck very easily so I am a little worried about the long term durability of the lining

I especially like the multiple secure pockets for devices. The color is great and the storage pocket is a nice touch that doesn't get in the way when I'm not using it. It's held up really well over the last few months of using it on a daily basis.

It makes the pack wonky and it won't set down well unless it's SUPER packed. If it's super packed, it bulges upward into the main compartment and cuts the room in that part down so much you can barely fit anything in it. I bought it for my carry-on for a trip to Europe and ended up not using it because it was awkward and didn't hold much at all. Now I am stuck with it since it's been a tad over the 60 days and NF won't take it back

I do recommend this pack for people that don't have any back issues to begin with and if you just prefer lots of storage options.
