Cotopaxi Luzon 24L Pack - Del Dia vs Black Diamond Bullet 16 Pack

I have had this pack for about 6 months now. I use it daily going to and from work and have now gone one two vacations. This pack has been my personal item/carry on and has taken me to the beach and to the mountains. This past weekend I went to the Rocky Mountains for a weekend trip and this was the only pack I took with me

I used the pack as a carry-on/personal item on a flight out to Tahoe and it fits really nicely under a plane seat. It’s small size is also great for a day on the slopes. Downsides for me: lack of pockets, lack of places that anything could be fastened to on the outside. But, these both attribute to its sleek design

Love the vibrant colors that my bag has. I use it on my bike commute and love that the colors stand out! The bag is extremely light which is a plus and has ample amount of space for my cycling and daily needs. The separate pockets come in handy for separating wallets and other smaller items!

This is actually a very well-built, small-form 16L backpack with a very, very minimalist design. While I am personally not using it for scrambling, I am going to attend a convention with it and so far from testing it on casual commutes, it's fairly comfortable and no issues were discovered. For a convention I can comfortably put in 2 spare shirts, a portable speaker, full-sized headphones, sunscreen, sanitizer, a compact first aid kit, and a nice 750ml bottle of Aviation gin~, with a little bit of room to spare. When strapped in, the backpack had a decent level of comfort and weight wasn't a big issue with those items

Bought this for its size, packability, and presence of sternum and waist straps. Having a light bag is nice until you overload it with water or, say, a few too many comic books- the straps make carrying added weight practical. I love cotopaxi's use of fabric remnants to make their products. The only star off is because it has pooped ol' nalgene out more than once in handling (not while walking)

The size is awesome. It looks small on the outside but fits everything I need (harness, shoes, chalk bag, wallet, phone, and snacks). DO NOT purchase this bag if you are looking to iron on or sew patches on. The material will melt if put under high heat

I think the bags could also use a strap up higher on the sides as well to tighten down my trekking poles when not in use. One more thing, I’m fairly broad chested and have wide shoulders and there is barely enough chest strap to go across. I larger person may definitely have issues. Other than these 3 things I find these packs to be near perfect! Thank you!

This is a great, well made durable pack that is perfect for the trail. I would not use for long hikes - short day hikes are perfect! Has a space for a water bladder which is a plus! Unfortunately, it does not really fit climbing gear too well - unless you are bouldering. I currently have my harness stored in the pack and that is about it. My shoes are hanging on the straps

I love that there is no top to the pack, as it is easy to store my light-weight three-legged stool inside so that I can stop and rest anytime I want without having to lower my creaky older body all the way to the ground.

Secondly, the pack is comfortable to wear when fully loaded and adjusted properly to your body size and shape. I found this unusual compared to other small day packs that I have used in the past. Those I found to be uncomfortable and unable to accommodate my 6'-1" 190# frame.

The zippered compartment is best for electronics and the top cinch compartment for bulky items and clothes. The bold color combos look great as well.

When it was new, it used to wick away water like a rain coat. Now when it rains, it gets completely soaked through. Some of the stitching inside, underneath the zipper has also frayed and gets caught in the zipper. I will say though that the zippers themselves are some of the nicest and strongest zippers I've ever seen on a backpack
